Carl S., MS, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist and a member of the Cone Health movement disorders team. His professional interests include Parkinson’s disease, cognitive-linguistic disorders and swallowing issues in patients who have head/neck cancer or voice disorders. He is certified in LSVT LOUD®, a speech treatment.
As a stutterer, he has a keen sense of empathy for each patient. Having worked in diverse venues of care, he has learned to thrive on the relational aspect of outpatient therapy. As part of each patient’s care team, he strives to help each person on their journey to recovery and believes his patient relationships are where progress begins.
In his spare time, he enjoys hiking with his family and kayaking with his wife. His hobbies include amateur photography and guitar.
