Biography

The desire to care for people led Christy Hawks, FNP, to follow her passion into health care. As a family nurse practitioner, Christy makes a difference in her patients’ lives every day by simply listening to them. Christy knows if her patients trust her, they’ll communicate more freely and openly with her. That means she can help them better manage their health. 

For more than two years, Christy has been improving the health of her patients in Rockingham County. She gets energy from daily interactions with her patients and working in an environment where she learns new things all the time. 

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Christy was an oncology and hematology nurse at a hospital in Virginia. 

Christy likes to spend her free time with her husband and three children. They enjoy camping and being outside together.

Been here a long time good place to go when you sick. You are treated with kindness not just shoved threw like cattle. They take time to talk to you and ask how you really feel. Im happy I have this lace to go.
