Biography
Franck H. Azobou Tonleu, MD, specializes in non-invasive cardiology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology and board-certified in internal medicine and echocardiography.
His professional interests include preventative cardiology, peripheral arterial disease, and advanced lipid disorders. His major focuses within lipid disorders are premature atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and familial hypercholesterolemia (FH).
Inspired to pursue medicine by his mother, a nurse who cared for patients in an underserved community, he carries that same dedication into his work as a cardiologist. He focuses on bridging the gap between hospitals and the community, emphasizing lifestyle changes, long-term health, and connecting patients with resources that remove barriers to care. Approaching each patient as a coach and advocate, he is committed to supporting them through the challenges of achieving and maintaining good health.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his big family; he is married with a daughter and has six siblings. He also enjoys soccer, baking, reading, and college basketball.
“I want to improve the health of patients by promoting lifestyle behaviors and patient education.” - Franck H. Azobou Tonleu, MD
