John “Franklin” Hatchett, MD, is an obstetric anesthesiologist with Women’s Hospital. He is proud to have spent his entire career at Women’s Hospital. At the hospital, he serves as the site director for anesthesiology and co-medical director of the surgical services executive committee. In addition, he is a past president of Greensboro Anesthesia Physicians.
Along with his daughter Lauren, who was a student at NC State University at the time, he has gone on two mission trips. In 2012, they went to San Juan de la Maguana in the Dominican Republic, and the following year, the pair went to Santo Domingo, Ecuador.
Outside of the hospital, he enjoys watching, playing and coaching basketball. Having coached middle and high school basketball at Greensboro Day School for more than a decade, he is currently an assistant basketball coach at Mendenhall Middle School.
