Biography
Gaytri Patel Barker, PsyD, is a psychologist who works with adults and older adults. She has extensive experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and solution-focused brief therapy. Her professional interests include disordered eating behaviors, insomnia, ADHD, adjustment challenges and anxiety.
Non-judgmental and empathetic, she strives to foster a sense of self-compassion, change and personal growth among her patients. Using a motivational interviewing communication style and patient-centered approach, she adapts evidence-based treatments to meet each patient’s needs. She strives to incorporate their perspectives and works collaboratively with patients on treatment goals.
In her spare time, she enjoys baking, cooking, crocheting, traveling, hiking and spending time with family.
