Gregory A. Fleming, MD, MSCI, FSCAI, is a pediatric cardiologist with Duke Children’s Cardiology of Greensboro. He also serves as an assistant professor and director of pediatric interventional cardiology for Duke University Medical Center.
He is passionate about finding new devices for use to treat congenital heart defects less invasively and is conducting clinical research trials. He is working closely with surgeons to provide less invasive “hybrid” techniques to treat children’s heart defects. He has served as a spokesperson for Cone Health in 2012 regarding pediatric heart issues and has carried his passion last year to Guyana, South America, where he volunteered to do heart caths on kids with congenital heart disease. As a native of Minneapolis, he remains a Minnesota Vikings fan. He enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and backpacking and plays soccer for a men’s league team. He and his wife live in Cary with their two children.
Dr. Fleming sees pediatric cardiology patients every Wednesday in Greensboro.
