Biography

Board certified in internal medicine and echocardiography, Heather Pemberton, MD, specializes in non-invasive cardiology with a special interest in valvular heart disease, preventative cardiology and women’s cardiovascular health.

She is passionate about individualizing care, connecting with people from all backgrounds and providing the most advanced care possible. She believes it is a privilege to care for someone during their time of need, and she treats all patients like she would a loved one.

Inspired to pursue cardiology by her family’s personal experience and the care and support they received, she values both the science and humanism in medicine in her mission to provide excellent patient care.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dog. She enjoys many outdoor sports.

She was the first doctor to truly understand my level of lifestyle activity before dx and the limitations I currently struggle with. She was eager to help me regain some level of activity in my extremely active lifestyle. I was encouraged by her level of care and understand. Heather was amazing!! She was so friendly and attentive. She informed me on information from tests with other doctors (outside of cone health) that was never even mentioned to me. I really appreciate that she went into detail to help me understand my current cardiac situation and provided me with tools to improve my heart and health overall. She makes me feel comfortable.

Dr. Pemberton was absolutely fantastic. I had seen another male provider within this practice and just did not feel completely comfortable with him. Dr. Pemberton took the time to get to know me as a person and explain what was going on with my body from the inside out. This helped me to better understand how best to take care of myself.
