Dr. Jeff Hatcher is an infectious disease physician with Cone Health’s internal medicine teaching service, where he has served for over 24 years. Deeply rooted in the community, he is committed to mentoring future providers and advancing collaborative, patient-centered care. His passion for medicine was shaped by growing up during the HIV/AIDS era and a lifelong love of science and people, making infectious disease a natural fit.
Outside of work, Dr. Hatcher enjoys North Carolina’s rich outdoor landscape through road cycling and whitewater kayaking. He and his wife, a professor at Elon University, have two adult children. He takes pride in the impact Cone Health’s providers have made in the region, noting how they practice with integrity and dedication to their patients.
