Biography
Jose Carlos Hernandez, MD, FACG, is board certified in gastroenterology. He specializes in colon cancer screening, esophageal disease and general gastrointestinal issues and hepatology.
Taking an active role in the prevention and diagnosis of a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions, he strives to treat patients like he would treat his own family. Whether managing chronic disease or guiding patients through procedures, his approach to care is grounded in clear, respectful communication and attentive listening. By fostering open, collaborative conversations, he ensures patient concerns are fully addressed and care decisions are well understood.
In his spare time, he enjoys keeping up with his kids, traveling and rooting for the UCLA and University of Michigan sports teams.
