W. Kent Bonney, MD, is a pediatrician with Burlington Pediatrics. He joined the practice in 1998 and focuses on general pediatrics, pediatric asthma and neonatology. Also, he is the partner in charge of medical technology for the practice. He has served in many roles with Alamance Regional Medical Center: chief of pediatrics, physician advisor for the electronic medical records implementation and instructor for pediatric advanced life support and prepared childbirth classes.

Since joining Burlington Pediatrics, he has become well-known internationally for developing pediatric point-of-care apps for iPhone and iPad. He is most excited about being able to touch the lives of thousands of children every day as a result of his apps being used by diverse providers in more than a dozen countries.

In the community, he is actively involved with Young Life's ministry, where he serves as a mentor to Elon University and Alamance County high school students. He serves on the worship team at The Summit Church of Alamance by playing guitar and has volunteered as a camp doctor at Windy Gap Young Life Camp.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, grown twin daughters and high-school senior son. His hobbies include hiking, camping, traveling, golfing, and photography.
