Biography
Kristina Perkins, MSW, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with a specialization in behavioral medicine.
She works with children, adolescents and adults to provide behavioral health counseling, including trauma therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. She uses evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to address and decrease the frequency of trauma symptoms in children and adults.
Taking time to build rapport and collaborate with her patients, she believes her work with nonprofit agencies serving people who are healing from traumatic incidents informs her understanding of how her clients and their families are impacted. She is committed to understanding each person’s unique needs and helping them succeed.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and cats and antiquing.
