Biography
Marcia Cowen, DNP, CNM, FNP, IBCLC, is a certified nurse midwife, family nurse practitioner and an international board-certified lactation consultant.
Her diverse roles, including as nurse practitioner in a pediatric clinic, nurse midwife, mother/baby and neonatal intensive care nurse, and lactation consultant, have given her a well-rounded approach to care. Her roles help her better understand the multiple facets of care and anticipate individuals’ needs using a more holistic approach. Using patient- and family-centered care, she meets people where they are, comes alongside them and provides them with information and guidance to help them reach their health goals.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, biking, dancing and spending time with her family.
