Biography
An internist with more than three decades of experience, Mary John Baxley, MD, has served as Cone Health’s chief of medicine and president of the medicine and dental staff. Her professional interests include women’s health, adolescent females and mentoring young people.
Known for establishing rapport and trust with patients, she collaborates with each patient and formulates a plan to improve their well-being. She is committed to solving diagnostic dilemmas, supporting patient needs, and offering a thorough physical exam, interview and laboratory work to identify health issues needing work.
For many years, she has ridden and shown American Quarter Horses. In addition, she enjoys Australian Shepherds and Siamese cats.
