Biography
Matthew Carlisle, MD, is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. Specializing in cardiology, he has expertise in electrophysiology. His professional interests include ablation of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, conduction system pacing, leadless pacing, left atrial appendage occlusion, device management and lead extraction.
He enjoys helping patients navigate the complexities of medical care by creating personalized treatment plans that fit their daily lives. With a philosophy of care rooted in practical medicine, he focuses on reducing the burden of illness, maximizing quality of life and limiting unnecessary time in the clinic or hospital. Treating patients as he would his own family, he offers reassurance and guidance for rhythm disorders and uses advances in electrophysiology to improve outcomes and peace of mind.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. His hobbies include competitive sporting clays, fishing and Auburn football.
