Maureen du Preez, OTR/L, CLT, has been a board-certified occupational therapist since 1995. She specializes in outpatient orthopedic hand therapy and lymphedema treatment of the upper extremities, face and neck. She has been a certified lymphedema therapist since 2007.
Earlier in her career, she was a traveling occupational therapist who worked across the U.S. in diverse settings. Originally from South Africa, she is bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
Passionate about her role as an occupational therapist, she enjoys one-on-one time with her patients, including creating an individualized care plan. Empowering and compassionate, she enjoys helping patients recover from an injury, so they have the knowledge to care for themselves and hopefully, return to activities they did previously.
In her spare time, she loves to travel. She enjoys outdoor activities, mountain biking, running and spending time with her family and friends.
“I love what I do. My reward is to see my patients getting better. I will give you 100%, but we’re a team. What you do at home is as important if not more important.” – Maureen du Preez, OTR/L, CLT
