Dr. Mihai Croitoru, known to many as Dr. C, is a cardiologist at Cone Health who specializes in integrated care for cardiovascular illnesses. His expertise spans preventive care, diagnostic imaging, and advanced device therapies, with particular experience in pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and monitoring. He believes in a comprehensive approach to heart disease management, emphasizing the importance of patient involvement in healthcare decisions. From a young age, Dr. Croitoru was drawn to medicine, and that passion continues to guide his work today.
Outside of work, Dr. Croitoru enjoys spending time with his wife—also a physician—and their adult twins, now building lives of their own. He finds balance through hiking and walking, and brings that same grounded energy to his practice. He’s proud to be part of a team that values compassion and collaboration, and often connects patients with others who’ve faced similar health journeys. His goal is to help patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their care.
