Pam Reitnauer, MD, MPH, PhD, is a *hospitalist board certified in pediatrics, pediatric medical genetics and is a faculty member of the Cone Health Pediatric Teaching Service.  Her clinical interests include dysmorphology syndromes, primary care of individuals with genetic disorders and epidemiology of birth defects.  

She has served as a clinical professor for the Department of Pediatrics at the UNC School of Medicine since 2013, which she deems the most important and rewarding aspect of her career. She particularly enjoys her combined role as a community-based medical genetics consultant for Cone Health Children's Services and her involvement in the development and training of genetic counseling graduate students in North Carolina's only genetic counseling degree program.  In fact, she was a part of the planning committee for the UNCG Genetic Counseling program and is proud of the program's success with more than 100 graduates in 15 years who serve in programs throughout the state and the nation.

Dr. Reitnauer serves as chair for Cone Health's Nursery Committee and is the acting medical director for Women's Hospital's Acute Care Nursery.

Dr. Reitnauer's hobbies include gardening, travel with her 13-year-old daughter and family, hiking and reading.
