Biography
Peter G. Koval, PharmD, BCPS, CPP, is a clinical pharmacist practitioner. Partnering with patients on-site, he uses a personalized approach to optimize medication management. His clinical interests include chronic diseases and tobacco cessation.
Dr. Koval believes every treatment plan should be individualized and thoughtfully integrates medication therapy into each patient's daily life. He uses motivational interviewing techniques to identify practical strategies for improving health and achieving lasting lifestyle changes. By fostering positive relationships, he empowers patients to confidently make meaningful progress toward their health goals.
He serves as associate professor of clinical education at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, especially gardening and hiking.
