Biography

Sabina Manandhar, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease. Her professional interests are bone and joint infections, bacteremia, endocarditis, non-tubercular mycobacterial infections, latent TB, Hepatitis B and C and HIV/AIDS. She speaks English, Nepali, Nepal Bhasa, Hindi and Urdu.

Using antimicrobial stewardship, she treats bacterial, fungal and viral infections with the narrowest agent available for the shortest duration while adhering to high quality care.

Empathetic and kind, she takes care of patients as she would her family, and she believes in partnering with patients to reach a common desired goal.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and son, running, cycling and traveling.

“I really like to spend time talking to patients and getting a thorough history, which helps me have a better understanding of patients’ problems and fears…so I can treat them in the best way possible.” – Sabina Manandhar, MD

I have been on low dose antibiotic for several years to suppress an infection I had. Dr Mandehar struggles with the decision to continue the antibiotic or discontinue it. We review the pros and cons but she decided to continue with the antibiotic. I'm okay with that plan.
