She spent about 10 minutes with me and the only thing she was telling me was me that she couldn't help me with my restless leg syndrome and that she was going to let my pulmonologist take care of both the restless legs and the sleep apnea

Dr. Athar was thorough and listened to me. It really meant a lot. She is a good doctor.

This was my first visit with this dr. She stated that she disagreed with my diagnosis from another dr in the practice but gave me little insight as to why.

I really liked this doctor she explained things out to me well and put my mind at ease on a few things that I was concerned about. She seemed very knowledgeable and I could tell that she cared.

In general, this clinic runs very efficiently, and dr. Athar is always up to date on what is in my chart, which I appreciate. Today was just a little off, but still would highly recommend this place

The doctor was late for the appointment - this was the third time over the past two years that I had to wait in the examining room for attention from either the doctor of the PA. The explanation given to me was that the practice has some very serious complicated patients who require more time. I understand this. But, one solution may be to schedule more time with each patient. In comparison my problem is minor (foot neuropathy however , my time is valuable. The doctor is offer that I reschedule the appointment but I explained that if I chose that option I would invariably (based on my previous experiences) would have to wait another 35 minutes again in the examining room before being seen, I believe she did not appreciate my candor. Also, she stated that the medication I am currently taking for restless leg syndrome is no longer recommended th the Society of Neurology but offered no alternative medication - Simply said I could continue the med if I felt it was helpful - I could discontinue the med if I felt otherwise. In my experience the doctor was overworked and stressed and the entire office situation was as well.
