Samuel Owen Dennis, MD, MPH, specializes in general surgery. His professional interests include minimally invasive surgery and breast, colon, rectal, abdominal, gallbladder, hernia, foregut and stomach surgery.
As a surgeon, he enjoys being able to use the science behind medicine and surgical techniques to address ailments to improve the lives of his patients. He has received additional training to perform minimally invasive, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, which can reduce or eliminate the need for a hospital stay, decrease pain and support a faster recovery, so patients can get back to doing the things they love faster.
In his spare time, he enjoys college football, especially the NC State Wolfpack, hiking, reading and knitting.
