Tim Fontaine, MD, specializes in gynecology at Greensboro Gynecology Associates since 1989. Prior to entering private practice in Greensboro, Dr. Fontaine was a United States Army Medical Corps Major and served as chief of outpatient and consultation services at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He was also a staff physician for a hospital in Heidelberg, Germany.
Fontaine has served in several leadership roles for Women's Hospital. He is also on the board of directors for the North Elam Surgical Center.
He is active in his church, West Market Street United Methodist, including serving as a trustee, staffing a medical mission in Guatemala, providing relief construction work in West Virginia, supporting hurricane relief work in Florida, and building a local Habitat for Humanity home. Dr. Fontaine enjoys hiking in the mountains, fishing and reading. He loves going to Merlefest every year!
