YOU Can Help Women and Children Everyday
The most vulnerable members of our community depend on Cone Health for their care. We do not turn away women and children based on their ability to pay. In 2018, 3,072 births at our Women’s Hospital and 85% of the 12,000 unique patients at the Rice Center were not insured and/or on Medicaid.
The needs of many of our patients expand beyond a doctor’s visit. We know that the social determinants of health impact wellness and we are working to address those needs of our patients through innovative strategic partnerships and by investing in our exceptional social work team. The Great Beginnings Patient Care fund, which provides resources for mothers and children in need, fills in the gaps for patients who have exhausted all other resources. Your gift makes an immediate impact in the lives of our most vulnerable patients.
Our partnership with BackPack Beginnings addresses food insecurity among children and families in our care. We distribute food bags with 15 items at the Rice Center for Child and Adolescent Health and the Center for Women’s Healthcare at Women’s Hospital.
