Pediatric Teaching Program Overview

The Pediatric Teaching Program is a part of Cone Health and serves the health needs of children in Greensboro and Guilford County, as well as many neighboring counties.

The purpose of the Pediatric Teaching Program is to provide community-based education for Cone Health Family Medicine residents and University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (UNC) Pediatric residents. We also provide a six-week pediatric clerkship experience for third-year UNC medical students and a month-long fourth-year acting internship. The program is supported by eight full-time UNC faculty and numerous part-time and affiliated faculty. Subspecialties include asthma/allergy, developmental pediatrics, genetics, neonatology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric critical care, pediatric endocrinology, pediatric gastroenterology, pediatric neurology, pediatric psychology, pediatric surgery and pediatric ophthalmology.
