Two Cone Health Employees Named to Leadership List



Two Cone Health employees, Marcy Green and Jonnetta Pemberton, have been named to The Business Journal’s list of 40 Leaders Under Forty for 2014. The award honors young leaders in the Piedmont Triad for outstanding contributions at work and in the community.

“What a great honor for these two up-and-coming leaders,” says Cone Health Executive Vice President, Administrative Services Noel Burt. “Marcy and Jonnetta have demonstrated leadership in several roles in their careers and are indicative of the caliber of individuals who care for our patients or support those who care for our patients every day.”

Green is the interim community outreach director at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Green has been responsible for the hospital’s Marcy Greencommunity relations and outreach program, oversight and development of the hospital’s contact center, community benefit reporting, community partnerships and sponsorships, the speaker’s bureau, and community assessment process and its corresponding strategic plan.

Cone Health Executive Vice President and Alamance Regional Medical Center President Preston Hammock says, “Marcy’s efforts have broadened the scope of how we serve Alamance County beyond our facility and have made us better at addressing our community's true health needs such as access to health care, obesity, mental health and substance abuse.”

Pemberton is a practice performance improvement specialist with Cone Health Medical Group. She builds and measures quality programs aimed at Jonnetta Pembertoncontinuous improvement in patient care. Pemberton is also chairwoman of a clinical advisory group that sets standards and policies for the group’s clinical staff.

Cone Health Medical Group Director of Quality and Safety Janice Gasaway calls Pemberton, “The consummate professional who has a burning passion to make a difference in her profession and our community.”

Green and Pemberton were honored at an awards program Feb. 20 in Greensboro.</
