Cancer Care Close to Home
Infusion Areas Designed for You
You’ll feel more at ease during chemotherapy sessions thanks to:
- Large, open infusion area with space for you to bring a loved one for company
- Arts, crafts, puzzles, and other activities
- Soups, sandwiches, and snacks
Feel free to bring your own devices for entertainment, chat with fellow patients for support, or just rest and relax in your recliner.
Onsite Pharmacies
You’ll receive your infusion sooner because of our onsite pharmacy, which mixes your drug regimen with precise care. Oncology nurses, pharmacists, and classes explain what to expect from cancer treatment and its side effects. You can come here for IV fluids to relieve side effects, even if you receive treatment elsewhere.
If your doctor orders medicine to take home, you can easily fill the prescription at MedCenter High Point’s outpatient pharmacy downstairs.
Nurse Navigator
On your cancer journey, you’re never alone. Our nurse navigator guides you through tests, treatments, and appointments, so you can focus on healing. This expert helps you understand your diagnosis, talk to providers, and get answers to your questions.

Cancer Screenings & Genetic Services
Visit our cancer center in High Point to get screenings for prostate cancer, skin cancer, and other types of cancer. These tests check for signs of cancer early, when treatment works best.
You and your family can also request a visit with a genetic counselor. This professional helps you understand your inherited risk of certain cancers. So, you can take steps to protect your health.
Onsite Emergency Care
Rest assured; we monitor you closely during cancer treatment and take many steps to prevent serious health problems. But in the unlikely event of an emergency, take comfort in knowing there’s an emergency department onsite for timely care.
QOPI Certification
You can count on us for excellent care because of our Quality Oncology Practice Initiative certification. It means we tailor treatment to your goals, explain your options clearly, check in often, and connect you with all the support you need.
