Services
The Cone Health Community Care – Clara F. Gunn Center offers a variety of basic health and wellness services.
Health Services
Some of the available health services at the center include but are not limited to:
- Blood pressure checks
- Heart rate checks
- Blood sugar checks
- Urine analysis
- Rapid strep tests
- Pregnancy tests
- Health education and referrals
People needing more complex services will be directed to a physician online. Using these virtual visits, doctors can evaluate and prescribe medicine and treatments. There is no medication on-site, though Carolina Apothecary will help patients fill their prescriptions at little to no cost.
In addition to medical care, the center will connect people with community resources for free medications and referrals to specialists, food, shelter, jobs and insurance.
Food Market
Our Food as Medicine Program provides patients who are low income and below the federal poverty level with quality, nutritious food that they otherwise would not have access to due to the rising cost of food, lack of funds or lack of transportation.
We believe overall wellness comes from a combination of factors, including quality health care, engaging in physical activity at least three days a week and eating healthy, nutritious, natural foods like fruits, vegetables and grains.
The food market serves:
- Cone Health and Care Connect patients
- Annie Penn Cancer Center patients
- Patient referrals from our partnering agencies
- Residents of the New Reidsville Housing Authority
Support Our Market: We always welcome donations of healthy, non-perishable food items, household essentials and personal hygiene products. Click here for a list of preferred items to donate.
