Teaching Kitchen

Skill up and play with your food!

The MedCenter Greensboro Teaching Kitchen adjoins our Café and is a well-equipped and comfy cooking lab and meeting space. In a supportive, welcoming atmosphere, we get hands-on together around food. We also seek to convene a variety of voices to discuss, study, and research the intersections of food, cooking and nutrition in health and health care.

A wide variety of teachers and learners are “cooking w/you” as we:

  • Taste and explore foods and preparations that make healthful eating a pleasure, not a chore
  • Empower people to fine-tune meals and recipes to meet their unique dietary and medical needs
  • Practice mindfulness in the preparation and enjoyment of a wide range of foods
  • Provide tools and opportunities for medical professionals to incorporate culinary medicine that supports their patients
  • Share basic cooking skills, techniques and recipes in a fun environment
  • Offer taste adventures for kids to experience healthful foods and age-appropriate prep skills for a lifetime of optimal nutrition
