A physician assistant, Charley Cummings, PA, specializes in family medicine. She is passionate about primary care, especially adolescent medicine and women’s health.

An empathetic listener, she strives to understand each patient’s story and to provide personalized care. She believes in providing a safe space where all patients receive personal, culturally competent care.

Originally from Boston, she calls Winston-Salem home. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Houdini, and volunteering with LGBT youth.

“I love primary care because I have the time to get to know my patients as people. Every patient has a story, and listening to understand that story allows me to provide care that is not only high quality but human.” – Charley Cummings, PA

Charley has always been very attentive and knowledgeable. She isn't pushy with unnecessary medicine, and when medicine is needed, she starts with small doses. She has gone above and beyond to care for her patients, and she is appreciated.
