Cone Health Names Leader for Heart & Vascular, Imaging and Respiratory Care
Ruth Fisher joins Cone Health April 15.
Ruth Fisher, MBA, joins Cone Health as vice president for heart and vascular services, imaging services and respiratory care.
Fisher comes to Cone Health from Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, where she served as vice president of the five-hospital health system’s heart and vascular service line. During her tenure, she led successful efforts that increased the quality, efficiency and value of the care provided patients. She also helped develop a statewide referral network and set up a pilot telemedicine program.
Fisher earned a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from University of Michigan. She is a certified medical practice executive.
The areas Fisher will lead at Cone Health are nationally recognized for quality. Cone Health’s Annie Penn Hospital, The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Wesley Long Hospital and Women’s Hospital are named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for cardiac care and pulmonary care by Healthgrades in 2019. Alamance Regional Medical Center earned 5 stars in the Healthgrades 2019 report for its treatment of people with heart failure, stroke, pneumonia, sepsis and respiratory failure.
