Board of Trustees Elects Members

Five community leaders have joined the Board of Trustees of Moses Cone Health System. They are: the Rev. Julianne “Jan” Brittain of Christ United Methodist Church in Greensboro; Dwight “Davy” M. Davidson III, President and CEO of Engineered Plastics Inc. in Gibsonville; J. Wayne Keeling, MD, of Rockingham Orthopedics in Reidsville; David “Dave” F. Leeper of Leeper, Kean & Rumley, LLP in Greensboro; and M. Lee McAllister of Weaver Investment in Greensboro.

“These are exceptional times in healthcare given healthcare reform and the major projects and initiatives Moses Cone Health System will undertake in the years ahead,” says Tim Rice, President and CEO, Moses Cone Health System. “It is reassuring to see these exceptional leaders devote time and energy into making the terrific community resource that is Moses Cone Health System even better.”

Henry “Hank” Smith, MD, was elected chairman of the Board. Chairman Craven Williams, D.Min, and board members J. Patrick Danahy, Louis DeJoy, Edward Hawkins, MD, and William V. Nutt Jr., retired from the Board.

Other community members serving on the 22-member board are: Louise F. Brady, Janice G. Brewington, Ph.D., John Campbell, MD, Thomas E. Cone, Barry Z. Dodson, Henry E. Frye, Florence F. Gatten, Michelle Gethers-Clark, Deborah Hooper, David R. Howard, William R. Soles Jr., Christian J. Streck, MD, James K. Weeks, Ph.D., Peter Whitfield, MD, Tim Rice, Terry Akin, Chief Operating Officer, Moses Cone Health System.
