New Members Join Cone Health Board

Four people have joined the Cone Health Board of Trustees. They are Jacob “Skip” B. Balsley, Edward F. Cone, J. Edward Kitchen and Dr. James H. Maxwell. Cone Health is one of the largest area employers with more than 8,200 healthcare professionals providing care in five Piedmont counties.

“Our major goal at Cone Health is to become a national leader in quality, service and cost when it comes to the delivery of healthcare,” says Tim Rice, President and CEO. “It’s essential to have an engaged, dedicated board. We are very fortunate to have so many talented people willing to give their time to help us achieve these important goals.”

Balsley is the owner of Reidsville Grocery Co. Cone is an editor at New York-based Ziff Davis Enterprise and an author. Kitchen is vice president at The Joseph M. Bryan Foundation and a former Greensboro city manager. Maxwell is a radiologist with Greensboro Radiology.

The Rev. Julianne Brittain, Thomas E. Cone, Barry Z. Dodson, David R. Howard and Dr. Christian J. Streck have retired from the 19-member board.
