Vascular and Vein Specialist of Greensboro Receives Vascular Testing Accreditation

The diagnostic vascular lab of Vascular and Vein Specialists of Greensboro has been granted a three-year accreditation in vascular testing by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in the areas of extracranial cerebrovascular testing, peripheral arterial testing and peripheral venous testing.

“Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in the United States. High-quality vascular testing is an important part of an accurate diagnosis,” says vascular lab medical director Wells Brabham, MD. “Voluntary accreditation is one way we demonstrate that we meet the latest standards and provide the highest-quality care possible.”

IAC accreditation means that the Vascular and Vein Specialists diagnostic lab has undergone a thorough review of its operational and technical components by a panel of experts. IAC accreditation is a “seal of approval” that patients can rely on as an indication that the facility has been carefully critiqued on all aspects of its operations considered relevant by medical experts in vascular testing.

Vascular testing accreditation is required in some states and regions by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and by some private insurers.

Vascular and Vein Specialists is part of Cone Health Medical Group, a physician-lead network of specialty and primary care medical practices. Cone Health Medical Group is made up of more than 400 doctors and healthcare professionals working in 100 locations across the Triad.
