Cone Health Ranked Highly by U.S. News
Cone Health has been recognized as one of the best hospitals in North Carolina for 2015-16 by U.S. News & World Report. The annual U.S. News Best Hospitals rankings, now in their 26th year, recognize hospitals that excel in treating the most challenging patients.
“U.S. News has already ranked Cone Health as one of only two hospitals in the state – and one of only 34 nationwide – to earn “highest performing” in heart bypass surgery, hip replacement, knee replacement, heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Those “Common Care” conditions are the ones most likely to send someone to the hospital,” says Cone Health Chief Clinical Officer Mary Jo Cagle, MD. “To be further recognized for our care in treating rare and challenging cases again points out the great care you can get at Cone Health.”
Annie Penn Hospital, Moses Cone Hospital Women’s Hospital and Wesley Long Hospitals are listed on the U.S. News website as “Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital” and are collectively ranked as the sixth best hospital in the state. (Up from eighth last year.) The hospitals are also rated as “High Performing” in Diabetes & Endocrinology; Gastroenterology & GI Surgery; Orthopedics; and Pulmonology.
