Gasaway Named Executive Director of Health Care Analytics
Janice Gasaway, RN, has been promoted to executive director of health care analytics. In this new position, Gasaway will help Cone Health become a stronger knowledge-driven organization to better care for patients and communities. This includes analyzing, interpreting and making better use of the increasing amounts of information used in health care.
Gasaway joined Cone Health in October 2010 as the quality performance manager for Cone Health Medical Group. She later worked as the director of quality and safety for Cone Health Medical Group and Triad HealthCare Network. Gasaway played an important role in developing a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) initiative. The initiative improves care and prevents avoidable admissions for high-risk COPD patients.
Gasaway earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the State University of New York and a master’s degree in nursing administration and certificate in business from Queens University of Charlotte.
Gasaway is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau International and the American Organization of Nurse Executives. Gasaway is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award examiner.
