Streck Named Interim Medical Director of Cone Health Cancer Center
Christian J. Streck, MD, is the interim medical director for the Cone Health Cancer Center. Streck will provide direction for the 14 medical oncologists who care for patients in Greensboro, Burlington, Reidsville, High Point and Asheboro.
Streck previously practiced at Central Carolina Surgery for 36 years before retiring at the end of 2014. He is well known in the oncology community. Streck focused on breast cancer during his practice and is one of the founders of the Cone Health Breast Care Alliance. That group brings together health care professionals from eight independent practices and organizations to provide exceptional breast cancer care in the Triad.
Streck earned his medical degree at the University of Florida. He performed his surgical residency at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Streck was a general medical officer in the U.S. Air Force prior to practicing surgery in Greensboro. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.
