Williams Joins Cone Health Behavioral Health

Monika Williams, RN, MBA, has been named a director for the Cone Health Behavioral Health service line. As the director of nursing clinical support,Monika Williams, Behavioral Health Hospital Williams will provide leadership and oversight for the psychiatric emergency department at Wesley Long Hospital, the observation unit at Cone Health Behavioral Health Hospital, therapeutic triage and to behavioral health administrative coordinators.

Williams comes to Cone Health from Danville Regional Medical Center, where she served as the program director for psychiatry and inpatient rehabilitation. During her tenure, she led recruiting efforts for a number of key leadership positions, initiated improvement projects contributing to significant program improvements and growth, and led successful quality efforts.

Williams began her career in the Unites States Army and has 27 years of experience in behavioral health. Williams earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Southwest Louisiana at Lafayette. She earned her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. Williams is a certified spiritual counselor.
