Women’s Hospital Names Malick Director of Mother-Baby Unit
Debbie Malick, RNC, BSN, MBA, has been named the director for the mother-baby unit, and for lactation and perinatal education at Women’s Hospital. In this position Malick will be responsible for the outstanding care of new moms for which Women’s Hospital is known.
Approximately 6,200 babies are born each year at Women’s Hospital. The hospital was recently named a Baby-Friendly birth facility by Baby-Friendly USA for its efforts to encourage and support breast feeding.
Malick has been a nursing unit department director at Moses Cone Hospital since 2010. “In addition to a proven track record of effective leadership, Debbie brings extensive experience in meeting the needs of our patients and putting them first in all that we do,” says Women’s Hospital Vice President of Nursing and Patient Services Sue Pedaline, DNP, RNC, MS.
Malick earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia and an MBA from Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland.
