Xu Joins Cone Health Stroke Center

Jindong Xu, MD, has joined Cone Health and will be working with both the Moses Cone Hospital Stroke Center and Guilford Neurologic Associates (a part of Cone Health Medical Group.)


Xu is a fellowship trained vascular neurologist and will Stroke Doctor Jindong Xujoin medical director, Pramod Sethi, MD, in treating stroke patients who have been admitted to the hospital and following up with them after going home. The addition of Xu to the program will help stroke patients receive faster follow-up care once they leave the hospital.


Xu is a graduate of Tongji Medical University in Wuhan, China. He performed his residency in neurology at the University of Florida, Gainesville. Xu also completed a fellowship in stroke neurology at the University of Florida. He earned a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Toronto.


Xu is a member of the Society for Neuroscience, the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Neurology.


The Cone Health Stroke Center is one of the busiest in North Carolina treating approximately 1,300 patients per year.
