Cone Health Graduates Four Clinical Pastoral Education Residents

The Cone Health Clinical Pastoral Education program graduated its four latest residents. Congratulations to Courtney Stamey, Pete Overcash, Blake Strother and Larry Brown.

Elizabeth Golding, M.D., director of palliative medicine, was the graduation speaker. She encouraged residents  to fully invest in their vocation as spiritual care providers.

The clinical pastoral education program trains theological students, clergy, members of religious orders and qualified lay people to minister to people in crisis situations in a supervised setting. More than 200 students have been through the program since 1981.
