Cone Health Behavioral Health Hospital has been recognized for top-quality nursing. The facility received a 2017 Press Ganey NDNQI Award for Nursing Excellence®.

Triangular shaped Award point on top

The award recognizes top-performing nursing quality at psychiatric hospitals.

According to Debbie Cunningham, DNP, RN, president, Women's Hospital and Behavioral Health Services and senior vice president, Cone Health, this award represents an important recognition from the industry’s leader in measuring, understanding and improving the patient experience. “This award validates not only the high level of care, but the high level of compassion that our nurses provide patients and their families every day.”

Press Ganey measures 17 quality indicators in nursing performance and patient care. Nursing awards were given in each of seven categories: academic medical center, teaching hospital, community hospital, pediatric hospital, rehabilitation hospital, psychiatric hospital and international. The highest-ranking hospital in each category receives the award.

“We are proud to partner with Cone Health Behavioral Health Hospital,” said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO of Press Ganey. “Achieving and sustaining excellence in nursing-sensitive quality measures reflects Behavioral Health Hospital’s deep commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate and patient-centered care in the communities they serve.”
