Cone Health Partners With prinnovo to Leverage Startup Innovation Within its Health Network

The Greensboro-based company will enable Cone Health to identify and develop partnerships with startups to help meet Cone Health’s innovation needs.

Cone Health has hired prinnovo to help it identify and partner with startups to bring innovative approaches to how Cone Health provides health care to its patients and communities. Once fully developed, these approaches will be piloted in existing facilities as well as Cone Health’s new facilities.

“We all know health care is rapidly changing. Cone Health has a great vision of what health care delivery will look like in the future and, frankly, there aren’t many off-the-shelf products that will take us there,” says Greg Hewitt, executive director of innovation at Cone Health. “However, there are interesting and talented entrepreneurs whose work is leading them in the same direction that we are going. We want to find these companies and partner with them to grow our businesses together.”

“That’s where we come in,” say Mark Rainosek, CEO, prinnovo. “We are helping Cone Health find the best startup businesses that will innovatively address the specific, identified need. We will validate the startup’s capabilities and make sure Cone Health and the startup can develop a mutually beneficial relationship.”

“We are confident that, working with the right entrepreneurs, we will be able to develop new models for health care delivery that give patients the right care, at the right time, in the right setting and at the right cost. In other words, we plan to innovate so that patients get care on their own terms,” Hewitt concludes.
