Cone Health Researcher Joins International AIDS Group

Kees Van Dam, MD, will influence AIDS trials worldwide.

Kees Van Dam, MD, director of research for the Cone Health Regional Center for Infectious Disease and a clinical professor of medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has been named to a science committee of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG). He will serve on the Antiretroviral Therapy Strategies Transformative Science Group. The group sets the scientific agenda for new trials of drugs that may control HIV. ACTG is the largest network of AIDS investigators in the world.
