Phone Service Interruptions Possible Tuesday Morning at Cone Health Facilities

Interruptions may occur when calling locations using the 832 prefix.

Office PhonePeople who call Cone Health Behavioral Health Hospital, The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Wesley Long Hospital, Women’s Hospital and other Cone Health facilities with an 832 prefix (336-832-XXXX) may not immediately be able to reach certain phone numbers tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. Cone Health is switching telephone service providers and may experience brief interruptions in service.

Groups of phone numbers are moving to the new service provider starting at 4 a.m. Tuesday. During this time, callers may hear a fast busy signal. It should last for no more than 15 minutes. The entire phone switch should be completed by 10 a.m.

This will not impact 911 emergency calls and phone numbers are not being changed. People who experience a busy signal are asked to wait several minutes and try their call again. They may also call a hospital switchboard and ask for the number they are trying to reach.
