Cone Health Adds Vice President to Coordinate Care
New role will guide a patient-centered, system-wide care approach.
Dionne Leverette-Kennedy, BSN, RN, is Cone Health’s first vice president for care coordination and integration. She will spearhead a Cone Health-wide care coordination management strategy.
This means making sure that every provider has a complete health picture of every patient no matter if the patient walks into a doctor’s office, a specialist clinic or a Cone Health hospital. She will also expand Cone Health’s disease prevention platforms.
Leverette-Kennedy joins Cone Health from St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital where she served as the executive director for case management services. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Virginia. She received a master’s degree in health administration informatics from the University of Phoenix. She is also a certified case manager through the National Board for Case Management.
Leverette-Kennedy has held a variety of roles, giving her a broad range of knowledge and hands-on experience. These roles include traveling nurse, nurse case manager, clinical resource manager, department quality manager and corporate director for care management.
