Dr. Vinay Gudena
The NRG is the primary research cooperative group funded by the National Cancer Institute to lead clinical cancer research. It not only influences clinical research, but works to get the results from that research into the hands of physicians as quickly as possible. Gudena will help the organization structure clinical trials involving breast cancer, shaping the future for breast cancer treatment.
Gudena was selected for the committee due to his experience in breast cancer clinical trials and his extensive list of published research.
“This prestigious appointment is a terrific honor for Dr. Gudena and for the cancer program at Cone Health,” says Matthew Manning, MD, interim chief of oncology, Cone Health. “Dr. Gudena is involved in a large number of clinical trials at Cone Health. It will be great to see the impact he makes on breast cancer research on a national and international stage.”
