Cone Health Lifts Flu Restrictions
Cone Health joins others in removing visitation restrictions due to the declining level of flu in the area.
Cone Health joins other regional health systems in removing the restrictions placed on visitors age 12 and younger, which previously prevented them from entering its hospitals. These restrictions will be lifted tomorrow, March 16 at 7 a.m.
“We are seeing a steady decrease in flu activity in our community and in our hospitals,” says Cone Health Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Bruce Swords, MD. “I would like to thank our patients, families, visitors and employees who have been so cooperative since we implemented the visitation restrictions in January. All of you have been instrumental in keeping the flu away from our patients and suppressing the spread of flu in our communities.”
Alamance Regional Medical Center, Annie Penn Hospital, Cone Health Behavioral Health Hospital, The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Wesley Long Hospital and Women’s Hospital are in the Cone Health network.
