Cone Health Offers Free Video Visits During Hurricane Florence

The service will help people avoid travel for many types of medical care.

Cone Health is providing free virtual health care visits during Hurricane Florence. People can get a phone or video medical visit without having to travel through heavy rains or on potentially flooded streets.

People can go to virtualvisits.conehealth.com or download the Cone Health Virtual Visit app from the App Store or Google Play to obtain a visit. Once they register for the service, they can use the coupon code “CONEFLORENCERELIEF” (all caps) to avoid the usual $49 charge. 

Cone Health virtual visits cover 18 conditions frequently treated in adults and children.

  • Cough
  • Diarrhea
  • Ear Problems
  • Fever
  • Flu
  • Headache
  • Insect Bites
  • Nausea
  • Pink Eye
  • Rash
  • Respiratory Problems
  • Sore Throats
  • Urinary problems
  • Vaginitis
  • Vomiting

“We don’t know what the next few days will bring,” says John Jenkins, MD, chief clinical officer, Connected Care “This service allows people to stay safe at home and get the care they need.”

The free virtual visits are available from midnight tonight through 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17.
