New Members Join Cone Health Board of Trustees
The new members connect the community with Cone Health.
Four community members have joined the Cone Health Board of Trustees. The board serves as the voice of the communities Cone Health serves. It sets direction and provides governance for Cone Health. The following people will serve three-year terms:
- Yun Boylston, MD – Pediatrician
- Mae Douglas – Retired corporate executive
- Lenora Campbell, PhD, RN – Interim dean of the North Carolina A&T State University College of Health and Human Sciences
- William (Brad) Hayes – Former chief financial officer
Boylston is the managing partner at Mebane Pediatrics and Burlington Pediatrics P.A.
Yun Boylston, MD
She serves on the board of directors of Impact Alamance, the Alamance County Area Chamber of Commerce, and Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell. Boylston is the 2017 recipient of the Rising Star Award from the North Carolina Pediatric Society. She is an adjunct professor at the UNC School of Medicine. Boylston graduated magna cum laude in biochemical sciences at Harvard University. She received her medical degree and residency training from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Douglas spent her career in human resources.
She served as executive vice president and chief people officer at Cox Communications in Atlanta. Black Professional Magazine listed her among the Top 100 Blacks in Corporate America. Douglas holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
Campbell has been a longtime leader in nursing.
She has previously served as an associate dean and professor in the school of nursing at Winston-Salem State University.
Lenora Campbell, PhD
Campbell held an appointment in the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration. She is a graduate of Florida A&M University and holds a PhD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Hayes served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of LabCorp.
He is a member of the advisory board of Alamance Regional Medical Center, part of Cone Health. Hayes is chairman of the University of North Carolina-Greensboro Board of Trustees. He is a recipient of the Bryan School of Business & Economics Distinguished Alumni Award at UNCG. Hayes is president of the Piedmont Triad Chapter of JDRF.
F.D. Hornaday is chair of the 21-member Cone Health Board of Trustees.
