Sculpture at Alamance Regional to Be Dedicated

A dedication and lighting of the Guardian Angel sculpture takes place on Oct. 12.

Alamance Regional Medical Center’s newest sculpture will be dedicated on Friday, Oct. 12. The dedication and sculpture lighting take place at the Medical Mall entrance of the hospital.

Guardian Angel Sculpture

Sculpture and Gallucci

The 14-foot-tall stainless steel and bronze work is called the Guardian Angel. The Alamance Regional Medical Center Employee Council chose the sculpture. The group wanted something reflecting the unique culture at Alamance Regional. The Alamance Regional Auxiliary and Charitable Foundation began working with Greensboro artist Jim Gallucci on the work in December 2017.

The Guardian Angel program allows patients and their loved ones to honor a physician or caregiver who provided exceptional care during their stay at the hospital. These donations help hospital employees during challenging periods of their lives.
